Happy Valentine's Day!

On Valentine's Day when we were little, my Dad always came home with a big box of chocolates for Mom and a mini one for each of us kids. It was the best!

In my own family, one of our Valentine's traditions is to have a dinner of french toast by candlelight. I don't know how it started, but it's one of our favorite meals of the year. And doesn't everything taste better by candlelight?

My dog Lucy seems to have a mad crush on Otis, a cute little beagle who lives down the street. In real life, their relationship will probably never get past the chasing-each-other-around-in-circles stage, but still, hooray for love, in all its forms!

Each year we love to go to the big dog show in our area, and it's always fun to see the dogs being groomed before they go into the ring. Although they probably don't care much about being fabulous, they all seem to be such good sports about it!
